These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Dachau Tour (“we”, “us”, “our”) via our website www.dachautour.com, email, or authorized booking partners.

By booking a tour with us, you agree to the following terms.

1. Bookings & Payment

  • All tours must be booked in advance.

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

  • Prices are listed in Euros (€) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

  • Once payment is received, you will receive a booking confirmation by email.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Public Tours

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the scheduled tour start time.

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour, or failure to attend, are non-refundable.

Private Tours

  • Cancellation terms for private tours may vary and will be clearly stated at the time of booking or in your confirmation email.

3. Changes & Tour Modifications

  • We reserve the right to make minor changes to itineraries, meeting points, or schedules when necessary due to operational, safety, or external factors.

  • In rare cases (e.g. severe weather, transport disruptions, guide illness), we may need to cancel a tour. If this happens, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

4. Late Arrival & Missed Tours

  • Tours start promptly at the scheduled time.

  • If you arrive late and miss the tour departure, we are unfortunately unable to offer a refund or reschedule.

  • Please plan to arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes early.

5. Participation & Conduct

  • Visitors are expected to behave respectfully at all times, especially when visiting memorial and historical sites.

  • We reserve the right to refuse participation or remove any guest whose behaviour is disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate. In such cases, no refund will be given.

  • Instructions given by your guide must be followed for safety, logistical, and educational reasons.

6. Health & Mobility

  • Our tours involve walking and standing for extended periods.

  • Guests are responsible for assessing whether the tour is suitable for their physical condition.

  • Please inform us in advance if you have specific accessibility needs — we will always try to advise honestly.

7. Children & Age Restrictions

  • Dachau Memorial Tours:
    Children under the age of 13 are strictly not permitted to participate. This policy is firm and non-negotiable, in keeping with the nature of the site and subject matter.

  • Third Reich Walking Tours:
    There is no formal age restriction. Parents or guardians are responsible for determining whether the content is appropriate for minors in their care.

  • Minors must be accompanied by an adult unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

8. Photography, Recording & Media

  • Photography is permitted on our tours, subject to site-specific rules.

  • Audio and video recording of the tour or guide commentary is strictly prohibited, including the use of recording devices, phones, or wearable technology.

  • This restriction applies to both public and private tours.

  • Failure to comply may result in removal from the tour without refund.

9. Liability

  • Participation in our tours is at your own risk.

  • We are not responsible for personal injury, loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings, except where required by law.

  • We are not liable for delays or disruptions caused by third parties, including public transport providers or site authorities.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

  • We collect and process personal data only as necessary to manage bookings and provide our services.

  • Your data will never be sold or shared with third parties beyond what is required to operate the tour.

11. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Germany.

  • Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the German courts.
