FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions about our guided experiences in and around Munich.

These FAQs address general topics such as bookings, logistics, accessibility, and what to expect on the day of your tour.

If you’re looking for tour-specific details, each tour page includes its own dedicated FAQ section.

PLANNING YOUR VISIT

  • We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during peak seasons and weekends. While we do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, availability is not guaranteed.

  • Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended. Tours run rain or shine, so bringing layers or an umbrella is always helpful.

  • Due to the sensitive and distressing nature of the history covered, our Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site tours are not suitable for children under the age of 13, and participation is strictly not permitted for younger children.

For teenagers aged 13 and over, the tour can be appropriate if they have a sufficient level of maturity and interest in history. Parents and guardians should be aware that the content is serious and emotionally challenging, and includes discussions of persecution, violence, and death.

If you are unsure whether the tour is suitable for a particular young person, we are happy to advise—please feel free to contact us before booking.

TOUR OPTIONS & CUSTOMIZATION

ACCESSIBILITY & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • We strive to make each tour as accessible as possible. If someone in your group uses a wheelchair, has limited mobility, or requires special support, please let us know in advance so we can plan the best route.

ON THE DAY OF THE TOUR

  • We recommend guests to arrive 10min before the tour starting time to ensure a smooth check-in.

SAFETY & CONDUCT

  • Yes—tours operate rain or shine. In case of severe weather or disruptions, we’ll contact you with any adjustments.

  • For all tours, we recommend bringing only essentials — a small bag, weather-appropriate clothing, and comfortable shoes. Large backpacks, tripods, and bulky items can be inconvenient during walking portions and may not be allowed inside certain buildings.

    For Dachau Memorial Site specifically:
The Memorial prohibits food, drinks (other than water), large bags, and any items considered disruptive. Nazi symbols, propaganda, or attire of any kind are strictly forbidden, including costume-style items or anything worn "as a joke." Out of respect for the site, we also ask guests to avoid loud conversations, inappropriate clothing, or posing for lighthearted photos.

  • Tour lengths vary depending on the experience you choose. Standard durations are listed on each tour page.

AFTER YOUR TOUR

  • Of course. Your guide will be happy to share insights on museums, restaurants, exhibitions, and other activities in Munich.

  • Yes. Many guests request additional resources, and we’re happy to share recommended books, films, and museums related to your tour’s themes.

  • Tips are never required, but they are always appreciated. If you feel your guide provided an exceptional experience, a gratuity is a meaningful way to show your appreciation. The amount is entirely up to you.

  • You can contact us through the Contact page. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
