Visiting Dachau Memorial on Sunday, May 3, 2026

The 81st anniversary of the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp will be commemorated on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

According to information published by the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site, the memorial will remain open to individual visitors during its usual opening hours. Audio guides in 18 languages will be available.

Due to the official commemorative events, group tours will not be permitted on this date, and some buildings and areas of the memorial may be temporarily closed.

As a result, we will not be operating guided tours to Dachau on May 3, 2026. Visitors are, however, very welcome to travel to the memorial site independently. You may explore the grounds at your own pace, make use of the available audio guides, or simply take time for quiet reflection.
